Bosly’s Backyard is thrilled to host Hilarious Hound (a.k.a. Michelle Russ)—award-winning commercial pet photographer—for a one-of-a-kind photo experience!

For the very first time, Michelle is opening up one of her incredible, hand-crafted set builds to the public with these exclusive mini sessions. Your pup will be the cherry on top in a vibrant, joy-filled ice cream shop set designed to capture their personality in the most playful, paws-itively adorable way.

You’ll have the entire facility to yourselves while we capture beautiful, one-of-a-kind portraits in a relaxed and fun setting.

  • Photos are not included in the session fee and will be shared via private gallery after the shoot.

  • Cancellation Policy: 50% of your payment is nonrefundable once you book. Failure to cancel or modify your appointment at least 1 week before the event will result in forfeiting your appointment and paying 100% of the scheduled session.

Meet Michelle Russ (she/her), the award-winning animal photographer behind Hilarious Hound. With a background in fashion photography and a passion for capturing the true spirit of animals, Michelle brings a unique blend of creativity, patience, and love to every session.

After years of working with fashion models and designers, Michelle traded the runway for the “catwalk” and never looked back. For the past 20 years, she’s been perfecting her craft—starting in the darkroom and eventually diving into the world of animal behavior and photography. Her work is known for its authenticity, humor, and ability to showcase the personality of every pet she photographs.

Whether it’s a goofy grin, a soulful gaze, or a face full of ice cream, Michelle has a knack for turning fleeting moments into lasting memories. Her custom-built, whimsical sets (like this ice cream shop theme!) make every shoot a one-of-a-kind experience.
